Why we exist
Picking an online degree in India is broken. The major aggregator sites are lead-generation funnels. You fill the form, get cold-called by twelve different counsellors over the next week, and none of them give you straight answers about fees or recognition. University marketing pages quote prices that don't include hidden costs. WhatsApp counsellors push whichever programme pays the highest commission.
We thought there had to be a better way to answer the simple question a student actually has: which programme is right for me?
What The Sensei does
The Sensei is a conversational AI counsellor trained on official data from UGC-approved Indian universities. You describe your situation (current qualification, career goal, budget, time available), and the counsellor gives you a personalised shortlist with real fees, real recognition status, and honest tradeoffs.
Every fee figure on The Sensei traces back to the partner university's official site. Every recognition claim (UGC entitlement, NAAC grade, NIRF rank) is verified against the source. When we don't have data, we say so. We don't make things up to keep the conversation moving.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your phone number. The only people who contact you are you, through The Sensei.
- We don't have a "best" programme. We help you find the right programme for you, which depends on your specific situation.
- We don't take payments to rank universities higher. The shortlist you see is based on fit, not on who pays us more.
- We don't fabricate data. If we don't know a fee or a stat, we say "I don't have that. Here's how to verify."

The Sensei is a product of Boole, the brand name of Booleshop Private Limited, a company registered in Bangalore, India. We are independent. We are not affiliated with any of our partner universities, and we are not owned by any EdTech aggregator.
